Sarah Carlson

Sarah Carlson is a Senior Real Estate Development Manager at the City of Detroit's Housing & Revitalization Department. Her work centers around expediting City-owned properties through the approval and closing process so they can be developed and returned to productive use. With dual master’s degrees in Urban and Regional Planning and Social Work from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor, her career focuses on working towards the goal of everyone, regardless of socioeconomic status, living in a stable, safe, opportunity-rich community. Sarah lives in Detroit with her wife and daughter, and in her free time she’s traveling down and photographing every single street in the city and documenting it on Instagram (@DetroitBlockCity)
