Habitat for Humanity Arcadia DeSoto
Organization Overview
Since the affiliate’s inception in 2000, Arcadia-DeSoto County Habitat for Humanity has completed the construction of 31 homes and over 50 Critical Home Repairs.
Over the past five years, we have averaged 1 new house build and 8-12 critical home repairs per year.
Since Hurricane Ian came ashore on September 28, 2022, DeSoto Habitat has focused on helping county residents with unmet needs while transitioning into long-term disaster recovery for storm-damaged home repairs.
DeSoto Habitat also offers educational workshops on topics such as budgeting, credit and financial management, estate planning, home maintenance and repair, and healthy lifestyles that are open to area residents.
