Coalition Values & Vision
The Coalition for Home Repair is committed to creating a welcoming and supportive environment where all staff, members, partners, vendors, board members, and beneficiaries of home repairs are treated with respect and dignity.
- We strive to support the home repair needs of all homeowners regardless of gender, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sexual identity, familial status, age, disability, socio-economic status, educational status, or geography.
-
We respect and encourage the full participation of everyone in the life and leadership of the organization and its mission.
-
We promote processes that ensure all people can contribute, develop, and grow.
-
We are an organization that celebrates the richness of our communities nationwide.
-
We are committed to demonstrating through evidence-based practices that home repair is an essential method to proactively reduce homelessness, protect generational assets, and stabilize neighborhoods of low and moderate income homeowners within rural and urban areas.
Our vision is to protect affordable homeownership for future generations, lessen the number of low-income homeowners displaced into unaffordable rental markets, and reduce the wealth gap.
As an organization and board of directors, we agree to be guided by these principles and pledge that they will be reflected in our mission, strategic planning, programming, governance, and board composition.
