Devita Davison is a nationally recognized leader in addressing interconnected challenges across food security, housing, and economic mobility. As the Director of Economic Mobility at Feeding America, Devita spearheads transformative initiatives that integrate housing stability, workforce development, and access to critical supports into the fight against food insecurity. Her work is centered on addressing systemic barriers to economic opportunity and fostering innovative, community-led solutions.
With decades of experience in food systems innovation and community development, Devita has a proven track record of leveraging multi-sector partnerships to drive impact. She has led groundbreaking programs such as the CVS Health Zones project, which improves social determinants of health for over 300,000 individuals annually, and implemented the Urban Institute’s Upward Mobility Framework, helping local leaders understand and address barriers to thriving communities. These initiatives demonstrate her ability to align data-driven insights with on-the-ground strategies to build resilience and economic stability.
Prior to her work with Feeding America, Devita served as the Executive Director of FoodLab Detroit, where she supported nearly 200 food entrepreneurs, generating $57 million in local economic impact and revitalizing underserved neighborhoods.
