Housing Preservation Advocacy Learning Series - February

Thursday, February 13, 2025
2:00 PM - 3:00 PM (EST)
Category: Advocacy Event

Join us for the first session of the Housing Preservation Advocacy Learning Series, co-presented by The Ability Center of Greater Toledo (Center for Independent Living) and Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity. This session will spotlight The Ability Center’s advocacy efforts and their home accessibility program, as well as key partnerships (one of them being Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity) involved in making homes more accessible for people with disabilities. We’ll hear directly from both organizations about their critical work in promoting home accessibility.

Whether you're involved in home repair/modifications, disability rights, or housing preservation, this will be an insightful session on how we can work together to increase access and equity in housing for all.

The Housing Preservation Advocacy Learning Series features presenters and spotlights organizations who delve into specific topics related to home repair advocacy. This is then followed by a Q&A session where we can ask questions, share experiences, and learn together.

Call for Proposals: If your organization is working on innovative approaches to home repair, policy advocacy, or related initiatives, we’d love to hear from you! This is an opportunity to share valuable insights and strategies with others in the field. Please fill out this form or contact Emma Carrasco at emma@coalitionforhomerepair.org
