Best Practices for Installing Grab Bars

Robin Renner will lead this webinar. She has previously worked for a Rebuilding Together affiliate, a Habitat affiliate, and an independent home repair nonprofit. She's currently the faciliator for our Healthy Homes Affinity Group. She'll offer a 30-45 minute presentation, followed by time for Q&A.

The webinar will cover best practices for installing grab bars, and how to train volunteers to install grab bars. Robin will share tips to get volunteers confident and up to speed on grab bar installation so that the older adults they are helping will be able to live in safer environments. Robin will discuss where to put grab bars, how to secure them (she'll review multiple types of grab bar fasteners), and troubleshooting issues that arise. 

Organizations participating in the Falls Prevention Data Project (you can sign up for that anytime before July 29) are strongly encouraged to attend this webinar, and everyone else is welcome too.
