Wells Fargo named Partnership Excellence Award Winner

KINGSPORT, Tenn. – November 9, 2023 – The Coalition for Home Repair, the national coalition for home repair organizations in the United States, recently honored Wells Fargo as the Partnership Excellence Award Winner. Wells Fargo was nominated by Brothers Redevelopment, Inc., a Coalition member and Wells Fargo community partner.

The Partnership Excellence Award was presented to Wells Fargo in recognition of their outstanding commitment to funding and advocating for affordable housing and home repair and modification interventions in the Denver area.

Notable accomplishments include more than 250 employees participating in Brothers Redevelopment Inc. Paint-A-Thon (PAT) programs. Volunteers collectively donated over 1,900 hours and successfully painted 15 homes as part of this essential initiative. Wells Fargo additionally has contributed more than $1 Million to Brothers Redevelopment Inc., on various programmatic and capital projects since 2010.

Dedicated people are essential to successful community partnerships. Brothers Redevelopment Inc. shared that Kelly Littrell, VP, Philanthropy & Community Impact at Wells Fargo, was instrumental in developing and maintaining the partnership between the organizations.

“Her work serves as an inspiring example of how businesses and nonprofits can join forces to create meaningful change and improve the lives of those in need within our community,” said Jeff Martinez, President of Brothers Redevelopment Inc.

“At Wells Fargo, we believe that everybody should have a safe, affordable, and accessible place to call home.  That is why we are so proud of our long-standing partnership with Brother’s Redevelopment to help further their mission of providing housing solutions for Denver’s low-income, elderly, and disabled residents,” said Kelly Littrell, VP, Philanthropy & Community Impact at Wells Fargo.

Coalition for Home Repair Executive Director, Freyja Harris shares, “Partnership is a foundational component of a successful home repair program. We are pleased to honor Wells Fargo for their dedicated partnership and commitment to affordable housing preservation. About Brothers Redevelopment

Brothers Redevelopment Inc (BRI) was founded in 1971 on a service-driven mission to provide housing repairs for low-income households in Southwest Denver. Serving the community spurred a spirit of volunteerism and camaraderie with the common goal of helping neighbors paint their homes, receive vital health and safety home repairs, and/or be connected to services that could improve their quality of life and allow them to remain in their homes for the long-term. This mission has been woven into the work we do at all levels of the organization over the last 50+ years. Today, we serve nearly 30,000 individuals annually through housing provision and housing programs. We primarily service the following counties: Adams, Arapahoe, Broomfield, Boulder, Denver, Douglas, Jefferson and El Paso, however, our services have moved statewide in the past few years and grown as many of Colorado’s 64 counties are experiencing various challenges with housing.
